On Sunday 5th November, six intrepid members of the Orange Genie team will take on the Surrey Three Peaks Challenge in aid of Buckinghamshire Mind.
The Surrey Three Peaks
The challenge starts in Dorking and will take the team on a guided trek over Box Hill, Holmebury hill and Leith Hill, over 23 miles of beautiful and dramatic Surrey countryside.
The team
Christine, Tyler, Jonny, Ellie, Marnie and Nathan are all very much looking forward to their adventure. They range from complete beginners to experienced hikers, and the office conversation has been full of tips, advice and logistical preparations. They have a list of equipment to buy, borrow or otherwise acquire, including suitable footwear, clothing and torches.
It’s always difficult to predict the British weather, but at the time of writing there was a suggestion of a thunder storm in the weather forecast, so it’s a good thing the team are taking their preparations seriously.
Buckinghamshire Mind
Bucks Mind provide mental health services and support for the people of Buckinghamshire, as well as campaigning to improve awareness of mental health issues. Orange Genie have worked with them for several years, and it’s our great pleasure to support their vital work.
